LCEC was thrilled to be named 2025 Learn Local Innovation Award winner for Get Ready for School at the awards ceremony on October 9.

Get Ready for School supports parents of kindergarten age children with additional needs to prepare for the transition to primary school.  The program is an ACFE Family Learning Partnership between LCEC, Assist Ability Australia and Laverton Community Children’s Centre. Dr Jane Hickey, an expert in inclusive education, facilitated the program which has been delivered over 2024 and 2025.
