LCEC STEPS FORWARD WITH MUSICROOMS
Musicrooms is a group of young, neurodivergent musical artists who specialise in delivery of music workshops for neurodivergent people. Their mission is to create spaces where neurodivergent creativity and learning thrives, where lived experience is celebrated as difference, not deficit, and where authentic voice leads the way.
LCEC was fortunate to build a connection with Musicrooms through the Woods St Arts Space which has generously hosted the LCEC Stepping Forward to Independence (SFTI) program for young neurodivergent adults for a number of years.
Musicroom’s mission was a perfect fit for the SFTI program. We were successful in applying for a Make it Happen grant from the City of Hobsons Bay to fund 10 Musicroom sessions for the SFTI students IN 2025. The musical creative energy that these workshops unleashed was phenomenal, as you can see in this video
We thank the City of Hobsons Bay for its support for this extremely valuable program. In 2026 we are engaging Musicrooms again for a further 10 workshops.
