We are very proud to be selected as a finalist for the 2025 Learn Local Innovation Award for our Get Ready for School Program.

Get Ready for School is an innovative program supporting parents of kindergarten age children with additional needs to prepare for the transition to primary school.  The program is an ACFE Family Learning Partnership between LCEC, Assist Ability Australia and Laverton Community Children’s Centre. We have been very fortunate to have Dr Jane Hickey, an expert in inclusive education, as the facilitator. The program has been delivered in 2024 and 2025.
