Completion of this nationally accredited course qualifies students to work in Children’s Services including Early Childhood Education Centres,  Family Day Care, Out of School Hours Care and (as an assistant) Kindergarten.

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for entry into this qualification.

Enrolment in a government funded place for this course may have a later impact on your ability to access future government funding.

Applicants will be required to take a pre-training review, including literacy and numeracy assessment, to assess their suitability for the course.

Do you need extra support to get back into education and training?

You may be eligible for the Skills First Reconnect program. Reconnect will provide you with a Coach who will help you to find the right education and training program for you. Your coach will also help you tackle any other barriers that are preventing you from returning to study in a vocational education and training program.

To be eligible for Skills First Reconnect you need to be:

  • between 17 and 64 years old; and
  • living in Hobsons Bay or Wyndham; and
  • be out of work and study for a minimum of six months.

We offer Reconnect Services in partnership with Wyndham Community and Education Centre. Speak to one of our staff for information about how Reconnect can help you get back on track with education and training.
