Certificate IV in School Based Education Support will prepare you for a position as a Teacher Aide/Teacher Assistant in education settings, such as schools and pre-schools.
Our innovative course design includes two units on supporting students with a disability. This will also prepare you for positions arising from the new Disability Inclusion Strategy of the Victorian Department of Education and Training. Teacher Aide and Teacher Assistant roles will increase by 21.2% over the next few years, according to the Commonwealth Department of Education Skills and Employment. The western suburbs are experiencing huge growth in school age populations. New schools are being built and existing schools are expanding. So many opportunities for new Teacher Aide positions will be close by.
Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for entry into this qualification.
Enrolment in a government funded place for this course may have a later impact on your ability to access future government funding.
Applicants will be required to take a pre-training review, including literacy and numeracy assessment, to assess their suitability for the course.
We encourage people of all abilities to apply.
